Milan Design Week, organised on 4-9 April, is the largest annual furniture fair in the world. The event, also known as Salone, Milano Salone or Milan Furniture Fair, spreads across different venues and events creating an unmissable extravaganza famous for premiering the latest trends and new collections while thousands of design people occupy the Italian city.

This year, Dubla got to be part of all this as an exhibitor.

One of the events, DOUTDESing, showcases young emerging designers and brands all over the world. On its fifth year, Dubla had the honor to be one of the 15 featured designers in the exhibition organised by Zona Santambrogio Design District – an area that during the design week hosted also several live performances and music acts. One of the highlights of the venue was the “secret garden”, the beautiful courtyard that gathered some of the best gourmet food trucks from all over Italy for EAT URBAN Street Food Festival.

DOUTDESing brought attention to projects that can play a role in improving the society focusing especially on issues related to environmental sustainability, the life cycle of materials and products, and the environmental impact of production. Dubla was also a candidate for the Milano Design Award 2017 – an honour that highlights the best exhibitions of the Design Week for their concept, technology, storytelling and engagement.

For Dubla, attending the prestigious Milan Design Week, was a priceless opportunity to be part of a large Italian Design Week and showcase our tray to the world. Thank you to Zona Santambrogio Design Disctrict for inviting us!

Thank you also to Villegiardini and Cosmopolitan Italy for writing about us. We are honoured.
